Fatty’s Treats N Tours is a kayak-tour business that focuses on the ecology and history of Hatteras Island. Come up close and personal with the beauty of Hatteras Island and all of the captivating wildlife from egrets, blue herrings, sting rays, pelicans, jumping fish and more! Take a trip back through time and explore the leading theories on what happened to America’s first colony, “The Lost Colony.” Fatty’s also sells 24 flavors of delicious Hershey’s® ice cream as well as shaved ice and real old-school handmade milkshakes so thick you eat them with a spoon!
Fatty’s Eatery is open for breakfast and lunch every day. We describe our menu as “crazy on purpose.” It satisfies our most adventurous eaters all the way down to our plain Janes. The hand patted burgers don’t disappoint and they come in all shapes and sizes. We offer a signature burger complete with bacon, hash browns, mac ‘n’ cheese, a fried egg and topped with BBQ sauce.It’s often described with a mouthful and a smile as “oddly good.” Other favorites in our little Eatery are our shrimp and grits that we are told are “the best I’ve ever had,” chicken Phillys, fried shrimp, home roasted thick-cut turkey sandwiches, a variety of burgers, dogs, chicken sandwiches, and even a veggie burger. Breakfast is not to be outdone by lunch so you can get a “auffle waffle,” aka, a sausage, bacon, egg and cheese between two halves of a golden homemade waffle, or pile one of those golden waffles or French toast high with bacon, fried eggs, hash browns and sausage gravy. OR you can have it plain … I guess … Don’t feel like a gut buster? Add some fruit to your batter bar choice for a slightly more healthy approach to the day or grab one of our parfaits. Of course we have your quick To-Go items like a bacon/sausage/ham egg and cheese on fresh homemade biscuits we bake every morning or bagel, or toast, we even have croissants! When your all done stuffing your face with our ridiculously delicious menu we offer 24 flavors of Hershey’s® ice cream along with daily made house special deserts like peanut butter cheesecake pie or a brownie sundae!
